Terms and conditions of bookings and events

All attendees at events hosted by the Sydney Wine Centre must be at least 18 years of age and respect our strict adherence to RSA principals.

Alcohol will not be served to anyone under 18 years of age.

Payments are accepted in AUD only.

Bookings are completed when an online booking form has been completed or telephone order placed, payment made (or voucher redeemed), and a confirmation email has been sent confirming the booking.

Cancellations, changes and refunds

If you are unable to attend an event after making a booking you may use the value of the booking to transfer to any other event provided at least 7 days notice is given. If bookings are cancelled or changed within 7 days, the following applies: 

  • Notice given at least 3 days (i.e. over 72 hours notice prior to event) - 50% of the fee paid can be used as credit for a future event

  • Notice given less than 3 days (i.e. within 72 hours of the event) - no refund can be promised.

Having said that, we will endeavour to replace you and if we are able to find a full paying replacement, then no amount of value will be deducted when transferring to a future event.

If for some reason an event is cancelled you will be given a full refund.


Privacy and data security policy

Privacy Statement
Sydney Wine Centre takes your data security extremely seriously. We are committed to safeguarding your personal information and privacy.

This Policy applies only to our site and not to any sites to which we show links. These sites will have their own privacy policies which should be read when using the site.

Our Privacy Policy is in line with the government’s Privacy Guidelines and Spam Act.

 

What personal information do we collect?
During the course of business we will ask for your name, address, contact number, gender, and email address. We will also ask if you have any special requirements in relation to attending our events, your age bracket and confidence with wine, which allows us to tailor the experience to the requirements of the audience.

The Sydney Wine Centre does not collect or store any credit card information electronically. All electronic transactions are handled through PCI compliant third party websites, with industry leading levels of security.

 

How do we use the information we collect?
The information requested will be used to enable us to provide the service requested or to respond to your enquiry. We may also use your data to personalise your experience and interaction with the Sydney Wine Centre or to manage and enhance services to you.

We may contact you to obtain further information or to discuss a particular service or enquiry or the functioning of the service.

We may disclose your personal information to event participants and service providers that perform services on our behalf.

By using our services, you consent to us using and disclosing your personal information for this purpose.

We will never sell your data or pass it to any third party without your permission.

We may contact you for future marketing purposes unless you ask us not to.

Access to and the accuracy of Personal Information
We will ordinarily give you access to your personal information upon your written request and verification of your identity.

We will take reasonable steps to ensure the personal information that we maintain is accurate, complete and up-to-date.

If we deny you access to your personal information or refuse to correct that information upon your request, we will provide you with reasons for doing so.

 

Website security
All Sydney Wine Centre bookings are encrypted with minimum 128 bit SSL security. 

 

Photograph and Video Consent

On occasion, we may take photographs or short video clips during our events. By booking or attending a Sydney Wine Centre event, you consent to us taking photographs and short videos for the purposes of being displayed on our website and other marketing purposes. 

Should you not wish to have your photo displayed on our website or in marketing materials, please let us know during or immediately after an event.

These images or videos will never be sold or passed to a third party, and will remain property of Sydney Wine Centre.
