How to read a wine list ($125) Thursday 7th 16th January from 7PM-9PM

  • 'The Vineyard' Tasting Room, Sydney Wine Centre 119 Harris St Pyrmont, NSW, 2009 Australia (map)

This event takes you through the art of decoding the wine list and getting it right every time.

Taste 12 wines during the evening, and learn a few simple tricks to allow you to know what to order, predict the taste of your choice, and how to match your wines with food.

Please note that whilst there will be cheeses served with the wines, this course does not feature all the examples of food and wine matching that our Introduction to Wine Course and other events include.

Be led through our own specially designed wine list of Australian and international wines, containing:

  • Sparkling wines

  • Light dry whites

  • Rich dry whites

  • Sweet white wines

  • Rosé

  • Light reds

  • Medium reds

  • Bold reds

As part of the tasting you will receive:

  • A tasting booklet, with information about the wines tasted on the night - view an example tasting book here.;

  • A double sided mock wine list showing the art of decoding; and

  • A varietal guide outlining both the primary flavours and aromas and the classic food matches across a range of wines
